How Mastic Man works: post a sealant job, compare applicators

Mastic Man is a job board for mastic and sealant work only: bath and kitchen resealing, window and door mastic, expansion and movement joints, façades and curtain walling, concrete and floor joints, new-build plot mastic and commercial sealing. It is not a general builders' site, so every job goes to people who do sealant work.

For homeowners and contractors

1. Post your job. Choose the type of sealant work, describe it, add up to 5 photos and give the postcode district and timing. Homeowners, landlords, main contractors, housebuilders and facilities managers all post the same way. A budget is optional.
2. Applicators claim it. Add a rough size (metres of joint, square metres or a count of windows, baths or plots) so applicators can see what is involved. Up to 3 mastic and sealant applicators who cover your area can claim it with a short message and a guide price.
3. Choose one. Use your private link to compare claims. When you choose, contact details are shared with that applicator and you receive theirs.

When the work is finished, mark it as done. We then ask one question: was it done well? A "No" is followed up by our admin. Applicators who reply fastest are listed first, and each has a profile showing years in the trade and portfolio photos. More for homeowners and contractors.

Where and when

You can post a job or join as an applicator anywhere in the UK: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, islands included. We are launching in phases and recruiting applicators everywhere, so some areas will have few or no applicators at first and we cannot promise a response everywhere yet.

Small jobs are welcome: there is no minimum job size. See our sealant guides, the price guide, or browse every job type and city.
