Commercial sealant work

Commercial jobs include shopfront and glazing joints, office fit-outs and refurbishments, schools, healthcare and public buildings, factories and food premises where joints must be hygienic and easy to clean, and roof light, gutter and flashing joints on industrial units.

Many are planned around the building's use: overnight in shops, in holidays at schools, in shutdowns at factories. Food and healthcare premises often specify sealants that resist cleaning chemicals and mould.

Jobs you can post under commercial and industrial sealing

Choose the closest match when you post, or pick "Something else". You can add photos and a rough number of metres, frames or plots, and applicators see your postcode district only, never your address.

What contractors and facilities managers should include

List the sites, quantities and access, the hours work can happen, any permits or inductions, and whether a product is specified. If the building is from before 2000, check the asbestos register before old mastic is disturbed and tick the possible-asbestos box if in doubt.

  • Working hours, permits and inductions
  • Specified products or colours
  • Asbestos register position for older buildings

Commercial sealant jobs for contractors

Commercial work is posted by facilities managers, managing agents, shopfitters and main contractors. On this site they can say who they are, so you can see straight away whether a job is a one-off shopfront or a maintenance programme, and price it accordingly.

Joining is free. Choose the sealant work you do, your base postcode and radius, and the postcode areas you cover. See sealant jobs for applicators.

Frequently asked questions

Can I post work across several sites?

Yes. Use one post per area if the sites are far apart, so applicators who cover each area can claim them.

Do commercial applicators provide RAMS?

Ask for RAMS when you choose an applicator and before work starts. Many commercial applicators provide them as standard.

Can work be done out of hours?

Often, yes. Say which hours are possible when you post so applicators can plan.

Will a commercial sealant contractor respond to my job?

You can post a job anywhere in the UK, including Northern Ireland, and applicators who cover your area can claim it. We are launching in phases and recruiting applicators across the country, so we cannot promise a response in every area yet. If nobody claims your job you can cancel it.

How are applicators on Mastic Man checked?

Applicators must confirm their email address before they can see jobs, and we suspend accounts reported for misuse. We do not check companies or identity, so ask for references and photos of previous work. Applicators can add CSCS, IPAF or PASMA cards. We are an introduction service and do not promise any outcome, so ask for photos of previous work and agree the price and scope in writing.
