About Mastic Man
Mastic Man is a UK job board for mastic and sealant work only. Homeowners and contractors post a sealant job, up to 3 mastic and sealant applicators claim it, and the poster chooses one.
Why we built it
The site was started by people who work in the sealant trade. We have seen the same problems from both sides: customers who cannot find anyone to take on a small reseal or a run of movement joints, general trades sites that send sealant jobs to builders and plumbers, and applicators paying for leads that dozens of other firms receive at the same time. So the rules here are deliberately simple:
- Sealant work only. Every job on the board is mastic or sealant work, and every account is a mastic man, sealant applicator or specialist sealing firm.
- At most 3 applicators per job. Customers get a real choice without a flood of calls, and applicators are not competing with a crowd.
- Contact details stay private until the poster chooses. Applicators see the job, the photos and the postcode district only.
- No commission on the work. The price is agreed directly between the customer and the applicator.
- Small jobs and big jobs. A single bath reseal is welcome, and so is a multi-plot or façade contract.
What we check, and what we do not
Applicators give their name, phone number, area and the sealant work they do, and must confirm their email address before they can see jobs. A trading name and CSCS, IPAF or PASMA cards are optional. We do not check companies or identity, so ask any applicator for references and photos of previous work. We suspend accounts that are reported for misuse or break the terms. We are an introduction service, not a contractor: we do not employ the applicators, and we do not guarantee any work. Always agree the price and scope in writing and ask to see photos of previous work.
Where we are
You can post a job or join as an applicator anywhere in the UK, Northern Ireland and the islands included. We are launching in phases, so some areas will have few or no applicators at first. We say so honestly on every job: after you post, you see how many applicators cover your area.
Who runs the site
